Being overweight is nothing new to me. I’ve spent most of my adult life overweight. But two years ago I got into the obese territory and with a current BMI of 34.3, I have attempted to do something about it.
I am a size 16 and in more recent times find the thought of clothes shopping as torture! At 23, I was a size 12 and enjoyed a variety of clothes then two kids later and two dress sizes later and I’m considering surgery!
Sounds drastic, but I’ve been there and got the t-shirt. I’ve tried various diets and plans
1. Slimming world – four times
2. Weight Watchers – twice
3. Tesco Diets – twice
4. Counting calories – too many
5. Slim fast – I lasted one shake
6. And back to calorie counting
Friends and family have assisted supporting me with various clubs and groups but ultimately I fail if I don’t see results in weeks! This has been the last 11 years of my life!
I know you are probably sitting there thinking I’m some obese plus size woman like you see on tv but this was the last photograph of me taken at Christmas. I can still shop in most shops.
I don’t share photos of myself easily but this is me going on record that 2019 there will be no more excuses, it’s about putting me first!
I want to share my weight loss journey with you, I think it will give me the motivation to keep at it even on bad days.
1st week weigh in was 6lbs loss!
