If you’ve noticed my blog has been a little quiet lately, you’re not imagining things. I stepped back from posting for a while, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. For a long time, I felt the pressure to constantly create, share, and engage online. I wanted every post to be meaningful, every update to feel “perfect,” and every moment captured to resonate with you. Over time, though, that pressure started to outweigh the joy of sharing. I realised I wasn’t creating because I wanted to, I was creating because I felt I had to. Today, I want to share with you why I stopped posting and what that’s okay.

Taking a step back allowed me to reflect, recharge, and refocus on what really matters. I gave myself permission to pause without guilt, and in doing so, I found clarity about the kind of content I truly want to share. This isn’t just about taking a break. It’s about recognising that it’s okay to step back when something no longer serves you. It’s about respecting your own rhythm, rather than forcing yourself into someone else’s expectations. And most importantly, it’s about coming back when you’re ready, with new ideas and renewed energy and purpose.

I’m back now with a fresh perspective, new ideas, and a commitment to sharing content that feels authentic, valuable, and true to me. If you’ve ever felt guilty for taking time off, whether from blogging, social media, or anything else, know that it’s not only okay to pause, it can be exactly what you need to come back stronger.
