There is no doubt that morning yoga is among the best practices to relieve stress and calm your mind. It targets your body, mind, and soul uniquely. On the outer surface, it boosts your concentration, reduces inflammation, and boosts immunity. At the same time, it channels your inner energy, lowers anxiety, and improves your quality of life. Regardless of what condition you wish to target, this practice will assist you in accomplishing the set goals.
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
The Bhagavad Gita
Unfortunately, a hectic schedule makes it challenging to stay consistent. People often feel low on energy at the end of the day, and thus, they prefer to scroll through social media; instead of doing yoga.
Thankfully, there are simple tricks that one can follow to be consistent while practising. What are these tricks? Continue reading to know.
Prepare The Night Before
Do you prefer to do yoga in sweatpants or gym clothes? Do you go to your garden? Do you like to take a sip of juice between Yoga poses? If so, you must prepare the essentials you’ll need in the morning the night before. Get your gym clothes ready, grab a fresh pair of socks and fill the water bottle in advance.
This will save you time in the morning as you can grab the necessary items on the go and begin practising.
Tip: Avoid eating heavy meals the night before so that you wake up fresh and rejuvenated.
Chant Mantras
As you might already know, there are different types of yoga. If you are a beginner, it is recommended to go for mantra yoga (also known as Japa). In this practice, you must chant sanskrit mantras to transform your mind, body, and spirit. It can help lower your blood pressure, balance your emotions and allow healing.
Sure enough, it is challenging to learn all the different mantras simultaneously. So, you should begin with something short and simple such as “Om” and “Aham Prema.” Repeat the same mantra slowly and clearly for 5 to 10 minutes. When you get a hold of it, you can try a new one or increase your practice time. Believe it or not, it will help you feel at ease and enhance your concentration power.
Take a Shower
Waking up early in the morning is undoubtedly a daunting task. After all, those extra 5 minutes of sleep are the best. However, the same 5 minutes can make you late for work and feel grumpy throughout the day.
So, you should set the alarm and wash your face after waking up, and it will make you feel energized and refreshed. Plus, a shower before the yoga will ensure you feel clean and smell good.
Wrapping It All Up
These are some ways to kickstart your day and enjoy the regular flow of energy throughout the day. Nevertheless, if you find it challenging to perform yoga alone, you can get a partner. Or, you can join Yoga classes to make your sessions fun and engaging.
